Will Brake Override Ruin Your Track Day?

With all of these Toyota Prius cars running out of control, there is more awareness of the brake override feature. New car shoppers that like to left foot brake or heel toe shift should check if the car has brake override. Here is an interesting article from Consumer Reports on testing the thresholds of brake override technology in some newer cars. I agree with one of the comments of omitting it from manual transmission cars. There are too many nanny devices built-in today’s cars that can dull the experience for a performance driver.

Porsche says it could price the 918 Spyder hybrid, shown as a concept car, at $630,000.
