On to new territory.

I bought my 2005 Subaru STi 13 years ago and I felt it was time for a change. My commute has gotten worse and I was starting to loathe the STi’s manual transmission and copious amount of noise, vibration, and harmonics. Maybe it was that I was getting older and wanted something nicer. Something I would not be embarrassed driving my department director in. I decided to let the STi go. I started the process of returning the car back to stock as much as possible. Luckily I kept most of my stock parts.

Then I started researching for the next car. I wanted something with luxury, automatic transmission, nice interior, four doors, new technology, sportiness, and not front wheel drive. My final decision was a new Audi A4 Quattro. It had a lot of features that I wanted. I sold the STi for a nice price and picked up my new A4. I will most likely not do any performance mods while it’s under warranty. I’ve been there and done that with the STi. So here are a few photos of my new steed after some spirited driving on Angeles roads.

A Fool and His Lambo Are Soon Parted

Complimentary driving lessons should go with all new exotic car purchases. I skipped past the chatter in the video 47 seconds and straight to the action. Thank you videoographer for documenting this.

Cobra Crashes at Willow Springs

Wow, this driver is so lucky! I’m glad he made it out of there alive with just some minor injuries.

On the front straight doing 130mph, something breaks. The cobra veers hard right and off track. The car leaves a 6O foot gash in the asphalt as it veered before leaving the track and continued for an additional 500 feet off track to its resting point. I received only minor injuries to my left knee and bruised ribs.
